December News

Festive greetings to all our tenants and co-workers.

Its been quite a year and the team here at the Outset have loved working with you and running our events and activities. Thank you for all your support.

Last month we hosted a Breakfast at the Outset talk by our PR guru Mitch Poole  of Forty Communications who revealed (in twenty five minutes) some of the ways in which the media works – what they want, and don’t want. On 22 January Mitch will be hosting a full half day DIY PR session sponsored kindly by Nat West. We are expecting the Eventbrite link to be up very soon – register your interest with us first if you would like to be ahead of the pack. Mitch and Jen will teach you in more detail how to write and, importantly place a press release. And it s FREE

Also in January on 15th we will be hosting a Breakfast at the Outset talk by Charles Commins on Podcasting( and on 12th February a talk by Becs Bates on Facebook don’t miss out on either of these. Bookings are open now for January. Again, its all free!

2020 will see a whole programme of talks at our Breakfast events. We are also hoping to start Calmer at the Outset which will be mindfulness and yoga sessions.

Each month we’ll be having a charity coffee and cake event. We hosted a Children In Need cake morning last month and raised £45 through your generous donations. Our kind building owners, Equinox Properties agreed to double this figure and we’ll be running charity cake and brew sessions every month. Our next one is next week – 12 December, yes, that’s right, election day. We’ll be selling political party themed cakes – red, blue, orange and green. We’ll have our charity cake poll prediction as to who the Outset wants leading our country! All in aid of the wonderful work done by The Samaritans who are based in our building. Again all the money that you raise will be matched by Equinox Properties.

If you have a suggestion as to a charity that you would like to nominate next month do let us know.

Wishing you all a happy, prosperous, healthy Christmas and New Year!
